Shailene Woodley is an American actor and activist. As a character in The Descendants, she played Alexandra King who is an addiction-prone teenager. Her praiseworthy performance as the character Alexandra "Alex" King on The Descendants led to her performing several other challenging parts easily. Shailene managed to get her name in the Hollywood world early on throughout her career. This in and of itself is quite an accomplishment. She started her career on commercials and TV prior to moving into Hollywood films. Her talents as an actor have brought her numerous accolades, such as MTV Movie Awards. In 2010, the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award was awarded to her in 2016, in the Global Green Environmental Awards 20th Anniversary, for being the founder of The All it Takes non-profit organization.
